Frequently asked questions
Relive makes 3D video stories of your outdoor adventures (cycling, running, hiking, skiing, snowboarding and more!). You can create your video by adding photos, music & more, using the Relive app for iPhone and Android.
- Sign up for Relive.
- Go out and record your activity! You can record with the Relive app or you can connect your sports tracker app (like Strava or Endomondo) to Relive.
- Finished? Now you can create your video in the Relive app (add photos, music, snow or create group videos).
- Some time later your video will appear in the app and we’ll let you know by a notification or email.
At busy moments (e.g. weekends) it can take up to 2 hours before your video is ready. If you haven’t received your video within 2 hours, please check here.
Your Relive video should appear in the app, after finishing your recording or uploading the activity to your connected tracker app. As soon as the video is processed, you’ll get a notification from the Relive app. We’ll also sent you a link to your video to the email address you’ve set in your account settings.
Make sure your activity is:
- Initially uploaded as public (not private)
- Tracked with the same account as you connected to Relive
- More than 1 km, activities less than 1km are not possible to generate
- Less than 12 hours, activities over 12 hours are reserved for Relive Club
When you work with email notifications. Please double check your spam folder. If the activity is there make sure to mark it as "not spam", so future activities will go straight to your inbox again.

Reliving older activities is a Club feature. Club members can use the app or site to import activities and turn them into Relive videos.
As a Club member, make sure you have the latest version of the app, and you'll find a + button on the top-right of the memories screen to Relive previous activities.
After you finish recording your activity, you can create your video and add photos, a title, etc. Just go to your ‘latest activities’ in the app and tap the pencil button. As soon as you hit the ‘create video’ button, your video will be made.
Making changes to videos that already have been created is a Club feature. Club members can use the app to edit and re-create their videos as often as they like.
When you’re not using the Relive app, or you switched on the ‘Auto-create videos’ option in your settings, your video will be created automatically.
You can add photos to your video with the Relive app!
After finishing your activity you can start creating your video. From here you can select photos from your phone and add them to your video. Photos in the video will be placed based on the time the photo was taken. Photos taken close to each other will be bundled together.
We will also pick up the photos you added to your Strava or Endomondo activity. If you add photos to Strava or Endomondo after your activity, you need to update the activity in the Relive app by pushing the refresh button in the edit screen in the Relive app.
Currently, Relive works with your Strava, MapMyRun, MapMyWalk, MapMyRide, MapMyHike, Endomondo, Garmin Connect and Polar Flow account.
Tip! You can also record all your activities with the Relive app ;)
You will never receive two Relive videos of one single activity. You'll get a single activity on Relive from the Relive app or imported from one of the tracker apps you connected.
We create videos for all your outdoor activities. Currently, Relive works best for runs, hikes, rides and all kinds of snow activities. We'll look into optimizing other sports soon!
At the moment, the length and speed of the video are standard. However, when you're a Club member you can use 'view interactive route' on your computer, to see your route in detail on your own pace.
If you went out together you can make a video starring your friends - with the Relive app! You can select friends who went along, when you are creating your video in the app. Just click the group icon while editing your video. Relive will show the names and photos of the people who did the same activity.
Someone’s missing? Make sure this person joined Relive before the activity took place and check if they correctly uploaded their activity. The activity of your friend should be uploaded to strava, before your friend will appear in your relive video.
If you would like to exclude yourself from future group activities you can go to your Account > Activity settings and turn off the Together setting.

Your average speed is the distance traveled divided by the time you were moving. Sounds simple right? The catch is that there are a lot of different ways to calculate the moving time. Therefore the average speed we show is not always the same as the one showed on your tracker.
It sometimes happens that the video doesn’t show your route or position, seems like the video is in the wrong location or perspective. Probably, your activity / tracker has been recorded with an incorrect altitude. If possible, try recalibrating the altitude meter of your tracking device to fix this for new videos.
You can change the email address to which we send your Relive emails right here, in your account settings.
Currently it’s not possible to download your video. We’ll hope to bring this feature soon.
We do provide an embed code to embed Relive videos on your webpage. Click here to see how this works.
Yes you can! Go to the account section within the app and press ‘edit profile’, here you can select your best photo :).
You can manage your notification preferences with our app. You can find and edit the settings at the notifications tab of the account page.
No worries! Your password is never sent to Relive. Our system only receives the information of your activity, in order to make it into an awesome video.
You can always leave Relive, choose 'deactivate account' on your Settings page.
When you are a Club member, first select 'Manage Relive Club subscription' and unsubscribe from the Club.
